The sporting world exploded on Friday morning when LeBron James finally announced where he'd be taking his talents to following the expiration of his contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. The King chose the Philadelphia 76ers, declining the possibility of returning to two teams that he had played with previously, the Miami Heat and his hometown team, the Cleveland Cavaliers.
One thing that isn't all too unknown about the City of Brotherly Love is the passion that their fans have for their different teams, and the raw emotion that they can have when things go right, and sometimes go wrong. It's always a talking point with new players throughout their first season in Philadelphia.
Perhaps one of the more recent examples is that of Trea Turner, who, during his first season with the Philadelphia Phillies, was caught in the middle of a horrible slump. While some fan bases might have booed Turner, the Philadelphia faithful had another idea: give him a standing ovation with the hopes that it would lift his spirits during the troubling period, and it worked.
Since that point, Turner has been a part of the Phillies' trip to the World Series, as well as several close playoff series; he knows what the fan base wants and needs more than anyone.
Trea's advice to LeBron
Trea Turner was asked about advice for LeBron James after signing with the Philadelphia 76ers:
“I don't need to give no advice there. He can do whatever the hell he wants but the city loves winning so, win.”

With that in mind, Turner had some limited advice to give the 22-time NBA All-Star, given his pedigree, when asked about it, expressing that the fans love it when their team wins.
"I don't need to give no advice there," Turner stated. "He can do whatever the hell he wants but the city loves winning so, win.”
It'll be some time before James and help deliver the Philadelphia faithful with a win, given that the NBA preseason doesn't get underway until October 10, when they're set to begin one of two games against the Boston Celtics.
As for Turner and the Phillies, they begin a three-game slate against the New York Yankees on Friday night, with first pitch in South Philadelphia slated for 6:45 p.m. EST.
