Yan Diomande had also been the subject of an approach from Liverpool earlier in the summer.
Yan Diomande is expected to return to RB Leipzig next week for pre-season assessments after representing Ivory Coast at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Leipzig have not confirmed an exact date for his return. The 19-year-old winger is, however, attracting interest from Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal following a standout season.

Diomande scored 15 goals and provided 11 assists in all competitions after joining Leipzig from CD Leganes. His impressive performances have made him one of Europe’s most sought-after young attackers.
RB Leipzig are reportedly demanding €120million (£102.5million) for the Ivory Coast international this summer, with Manchester City also among the clubs monitoring his situation.
La Liga side Real Madrid have now entered the race and are in talks with Leipzig over a potential deal, according to The Athletic. PSG remain interested, with Diomande favouring a move to the European champions, but they have yet to make an offer that would convince Leipzig to sell this summer.
Real Madrid’s interest in signing Yan Diomande has changed the winger’s situation and increased competition for his signature.
Madrid have been monitoring attacking options on the right side in case Brahim Diaz leaves this summer. The Morocco international wants to remain in the Spanish capital, and both Jose Mourinho and the club view him as an important player, but the Spanish giants are still exploring a move for Diomande.
Liverpool previously made an approach for the winger earlier this summer, with their offer reportedly approaching €100million (£86.8m).
Diomande’s current contract with Leipzig runs until the summer of 2030, giving the Bundesliga club a strong negotiating position.
Real Madrid have been active in the transfer market since Mourinho’s return as head coach, with Bernardo Silva, former Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate, Denzel Dumfries and Marc Cucurella among the players signed.
The Ivory Coast international featured in all four of his nation’s World Cup matches, helping them reach the last-32 stage before being eliminated by Norway.
If he leaves this summer, Diomande is expected to become Leipzig’s biggest-ever sale, surpassing the fees received for Benjamin Sesko’s move to Manchester United in 2025 (€76.5million plus add-ons) and Josko Gvardiol’s €90million transfer to Manchester City in 2023.
