Arsenal have completed the signing of Greece international Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge in a deal worth £34 million. The latest Arsenal transfer news sees the winger arrive on a long-term contract after an outstanding campaign in Belgium, where he impressed with goals, assists, and creative play.
Christos Tzolis joins Arsenal after standout season in Belgium
Arsenal identified Tzolis as a key attacking target following Leandro Trossard’s move to Besiktas earlier this month. The 24-year-old arrives after producing 43 goals and 45 assists across 108 matches for Club Brugge. As reported by BBC, Sporting director Andrea Berta described him as an“extremely versatile attacking player” who can perform anywhere across the front line. He also praised the Greek international’s finishing, technical quality, and ability to create chances in difficult situations. Arsenal believe those strengths will improve the squad as they prepare for another demanding Premier League campaign.
Tzolis also shared details about his first conversation with manager Mikel Arteta after completing the move. He said they discussed the club, the squad, and the plans for his future role. He added that his main goal is to score, provide assists, and work hard without the ball.

How Tzolis rebuilt his career before returning to England
Christos Tzolis comes back to English football with far more experience than during his first spell at Norwich City. As reported by BBC, he scored just three goals in 30 games for the Canaries before loan spells at Twente and Fortuna Dusseldorf helped him find his form again. His great loan year in Germany gave him 24 goals in 35 games, earning him a full move to Club Brugge. That move became a turning point, and he soon grew into one of the Belgian league’s top attackers.
Last season was the best of his career so far. Tzolis ended with 17 league goals and 23 assists, giving him a hand in 40 league goals as Club Brugge won the title. His impact went far past just scoring goals. As per FOTMOB, he made a league-high 135 chances, carried the ball forward more than anyone else, and pulled off the most successful dribbles in Belgium’s top flight. He also shone in the Champions League, scoring against Atalanta and Atletico Madrid while setting up a goal against Barcelona.

Arsenal are not signing Tzolis just for his goals and assists. His all-round numbers show he can offer creativity, movement, and flexibility in many spots on the pitch. Over one-third of the chances he made in the Belgian league came from dead-ball moments, giving Arsenal another handy attacking option.

In last season’s Champions League run, Tzolis made almost twice as many chances as Trossard, while also completing far more passes near the box.
