Everton romped to a comfortable 4-0 win over Dundee last weekend without really breaking a sweat, but are bound to get more of a challenge today when they take on Bolton Wanderers. The Trotters are back in the Championship after finishing fifth in Football League One and making their way back up through the playoffs.
Despite the almost universal clamour for a right back, there has been no progress on that front, or indeed on any other additions after the confirmation of the arrival of Hayden Hackney and the loans of Merlin Rohl and Tyrique George being made permanent. They have however officially lost Idrissa Gueye [who will not be returning](/english-premier-league-transfers-news-rumors/81506/everton-lose-veteran-midfielder-idrissa-gana-gueye-al-diriyah-saudi-free-transfer) after the expiry of his contract.
