Arsenal transfer news## Arsenal are exploring a deal to bring Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Jr to the Premier League
14:40, 25 Jul 2026
Arsenal are exploring a sensational move for Vinicius Junior, with Real Madrid keen not to lose the 26-year-old for nothing when his contract expires next summer.
The winger is seen as an option to significantly upgrade the Gunners' left-hand side and consolidate their status as Premier League champions for years to come.
Vinicius Junior scored 22 goals and claimed 14 assists in his 53 appearances for Real Madrid last season. The opportunity for Mikel Arteta to have both Bukayo Saka and Vinicius Junior in his front three would turn Arsenal’s attack into one of the best in the world.
So far, contract talks between Real Madrid and the Brazilian have not found any agreement, which has opened up this market opportunity for the Gunners.

The club are understood to be investigating the potential of making a deal happen, but have so far been firm with their valuation of players in the market.
It's understood that the idea of bringing the Brazilian maestro to the Premier League has been approved by the Gunners' hierarchy - with Mikel Arteta playing a role in the club's transfer plan - but they are yet to open talks with the Spanish giants.
Arsenal were keen to sign Morgan Rogers and Jeremy Monga, but the pair eventually signed for both Chelsea and Manchester City, respectively.
In each case, the transfer fees paid were seen to go far above what Arsenal were willing to pay and, therefore, what Real Madrid demand for Vinicius Junior will be critical for the chances of any agreement being found.
Despite having just the single season remaining on his deal, the player's stature could comfortably see any deal go beyond the £100million mark.
Seven years ago, Real Madrid agreed a record-breaking £130million move for Eden Hazard despite the Belgian having just one year remaining on his contract.
Sporting director Andrea Berta was brought in last year to help the club take a step forward in the transfer market.
His involvement in securing several mega-money deals for Julian Alvarez, Joao Felix, Thomas Lemar and Antoine Griezmann, among others, at Atletico Madrid will no doubt be of help in potential negotiations, although club-to-club talks are yet to start with Real Madrid.
Arsenal sold Leandro Trossard to Besiktas and replaced the 31-year-old with Greek international Christos Tzolis for £34million.
Any move for Vinicius Junior would almost certainly impact on Gabriel Martinelli’s future who the club are believed to be open to selling this summer.
