Arne Slot## Arne Slot had three Liverpool transfer priorities before his exit, and the club’s new head coach Andoni Iraola appears ready to continue pursuing the same targets this summer

Liverpool’s summer transfer plans may not have changed despite the departure of Arne Slot, with the club’s new head coach reportedly prepared to continue pursuing the same key targets.
Liverpool have completed two signings so far this summer, adding Spanish winger Victor Munoz from Osasuna and Jeremy Jacquet from Rennes, although Jacquet’s move was agreed and announced back in February.
With Hugo Ekitike expected to be unavailable until the new year and Mohamed Salah having departed on a free transfer, the Reds remain focused on strengthening their attack. A new forward is a priority, with Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola among the players heavily linked with a move to Anfield.
Slot had identified three priority signings before his exit, and those areas of focus are expected to remain central to the Reds’ recruitment strategy. Slot wanted to prioritize two new wingers and a right-back before his departure in May, and the change in head coach has not altered those plans.
Munoz has since arrived from Osasuna as a versatile attacking option, but he is not expected to immediately fill a starting role under Andoni Iraola, meaning the search for a top-class wide player continues. "With Victor, I think we signed him in a moment where he’s very hungry, he’s ambitious, but he’s still humble and knows that he has to come very ready," Iraola told club media.
"I think he’s someone with some versatility — can play right, can play left — and he has the work rate also for all that we will require. I'm looking forward to having him here, even if we know that we will have to wait with him and Macca."
Barcola and Yan Diomande also remain targets, although PSG could play a key role in determining both of their futures.

Defensive reinforcements are also being considered, with Iraola concerned about the lack of depth at right-back. While Conor Bradley would ideally be viewed as Liverpool’s first-choice option in the position, his recovery from a serious knee injury could force the club to pursue another signing.

Bradley has yet to return to the training pitch after suffering his injury and was pictured this week carrying out knee-strengthening exercises as part of his rehabilitation. It remains uncertain whether the 23-year-old will be ready for the start of the new Premier League season.
Bradley made just 15 league appearances last campaign before getting injured against Arsenal in January brought his season to an early end. Meanwhile, Jeremie Frimpong was limited to 21 Premier League outings during his debut season at Liverpool due to a series of muscle problems.
Although the Reds have several areas they want to strengthen, right-back has emerged as a particular concern due to the fitness records of both Bradley and Frimpong. Bradley has never featured in 20 or more Premier League games in a single season, while Frimpong’s struggles to maintain a consistent run without injury have raised concerns over the position.
