Yan Diomande## Real Madrid is said to have agreed personal terms with Yan Diomande, with Liverpool and PSG having previously been the two main options and the player favoring the latter

Real Madrid has agreed personal terms with Yan Diomande after entering the race to sign the teenager from RB Leipzig.
Earlier this summer, it is understood that Liverpool was willing to table a package worth a total of €100 million ($115 million/£85 million) for Diomande. But even though it emerged that he would rather sign for Luis Enrique's European champions, Real Madrid has indicated the same thing, and the Bernabeu could be a viable destination.
With no progress seemingly having been made on a move to PSG, Real Madrid appears to have sensed an opportunity to steal in for Diomande. Jose Mourinho is also keen on Manchester City's Rodri, who has just won the World Cup with Spain.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid and Diomande have come to an agreement on a salary and contract. A deal, though, still needs to be thrashed out for the transfer between the clubs.
Diomande starred for the Ivory Coast at the World Cup after a brilliant year in the Bundesliga. He made clear that his future was to be determined when his country exited the tournament, but that was now a couple of weeks ago.
Another team, Arsenal, is also said to have inquired about Diomande. The Gunners have also been linked with Vinicius Jr today.

If PSG does not sign the 19-year-old, it could mean Enrique being even more determined to keep hold of Bradley Barcola. He, of course, is another option for Liverpool.
"Diomande is a direct player — very raw — but has the ability to get to the byline," the former Reds striker Emile Heskey told Liverpool.com.
"He’s so quick and something that Liverpool are missing from their squad. I can totally understand why they have shown interest in him.
"Every player has his price, and every club has their limits with the way things are with financial fair play.

"I don’t think Liverpool should have broken the bank to sign him. There are other players they can look at instead."
Liverpool.com says: Diomande should have picked a move to Anfield. At either Real Madrid or PSG, he will face a big fight to get regular starts.
At Liverpool, he would instantly become one of the first names on the teamsheet because of a lack of other options. Rather than going somewhere already stacked with attackers, it is a surprise that he didn't fancy replacing Mohamed Salah.
