Jeremy Jacquet has not been included in the squad for Liverpool's opening pre-season game against Sunderland in Nashville.

The Reds face Regis Le Bris' side in the opening fixture of their three-game tour of the United States, with friendlies against Wrexham and Leeds to follow. Iraola is still without his full squad following the World Cup, although he is expected to welcome Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz and Ryan Gravenberch into the group in the coming days.

Jacquet had hoped to make his first appearance in a Reds jersey at Geodis Park, however Liverpool.com understands that the French defender's absence is precautionary after suffering a serious shoulder injury in February.
