Jeremy Jacquet will miss Liverpool's first pre-season friendly of the summer after picking up a minor injury

Jeremy Jacquet will miss Liverpool's first pre-season friendly of the summer as a precaution.
It's understood the issue is not serious and the centre-back is expected to return to training while on the summer tour of the United States.
Liverpool are looking to get the defender up to speed by affording him more training time after over five months without any game-time, owing to a injury he sustained in the second half of last season.

But Jacquet won't be risked so the £60m arrival from Rennes will have to wait for his unofficial Liverpool debut.
The 21-year-old hasn't played since suffering a season-ending shoulder injury in February at Rennes, which came just days after his summer move had been confirmed on transfer deadline day in January.
Jacquet's absence has paved the way for another centre-back to make his maiden Reds bow with teenage defender Mor Talla Ndiaye starting alongside Joe Gomez, who will captain the side.
Will Wright leads the line up top with fellow Academy stars Kieran Morrison and James McConnell also starting. January capture Ifeanyi Ndukwe, who joined earlier this summer, is also on the bench.
