Bradley Barcola appears to be Liverpool's priority transfer target before the summer window closes, but with a price tag of as much as $193 million (£145 million) being talked about, you can expect alternatives to be linked.
Andoni Iraola's roster is in dire need of reinforcements in a couple of areas, one being the right wing. With Mohamed Salah gone, getting the correct signing through the door will be crucial.
Wanting more regular game time, Barcola is thought to be open to leaving PSG and that has seemed apparent for some time. Convincing his club to let him go, though, is another matter.
As it stands, the player, 23, is tied down until 2028, so even if he doesn't sign an extension, there are still another two seasons to go before he would become a free agent.
And according to Tuttosport in Italy, Liverpool has checked on the availability of Juventus forward Francisco Conceicao, with the 23-year-old former FC Porto man valued at upwards of $57 million (£43 million).
AS Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche, who is also wanted by PSG, is another who Liverpool has been linked with. It is thought that an inquiry was made about him earlier in the summer.

Barcola would be the ideal player to bring in, but the early moves in the market have set the price point at which deals will now go through.
The Frenchman is better and more proven than Elliot Anderson and Morgan Rogers, and PSG appears to be making that point.
In addition to Liverpool, Barcola has also drawn interest from both Arsenal and Bayern Munich. None of the trio are likely to get close to the supposed asking price, however.
Arsenal, for instance, moved away from the deal for Rogers when Chelsea was willing to spend around $155 million (£117 million) on signing him from Aston Villa.

Liverpool.com says: In addition to PSG being in a strong position with Barcola under contract for another two years, there is also another factor at play.
The Reds are very keen on the player, but their desperation for another attacking signing will not make things any easier in the negotiations. Andoni Iraola has already admitted that the arrival of another winger is a must.
