PAOK academy technical director Vasilis Mittas believes forward Christos Tzolis is the ‘perfect fit’ for Arsenal.
Tzolis joined the Gunners in a £34 million deal from Club Brugge last week, becoming the club’s third signing this summer.
The 24-year-old was brilliant last season, helping Brugge win the Belgian top-flight and winning the division’s Footballer of the Year award.
Mittas, who worked with Tzolis during his time at the PAOK academy, has explained why the Greek forward will thrive at Arsenal.
“He has the instinct of a natural goalscorer,” Mittas told The Sun.
“In every match, he finds a way to create or exploit one or two clear goal-scoring opportunities. He combines pace, explosiveness and excellent transitional play.
“I believe Christos is a perfect fit for Arsenal’s style of play, just as he is ideally suited to the demands of the Premier League.
“He is a player with significant room for further development, and I have no doubt that working every day under a coach like Mikel Arteta will help him reach an even higher level.
Tzolis made his unofficial debut for the north London side during the behind-closed-doors 3-0 win over MK Dons at the Sobha Realty Training Centre on Saturday.
He impressed in the fixture, providing an assist for Reiss Nelson, who scored the opening goal.
Tzolis is expected to be part of the Gunners’ squad for their pre-season training camp in Girona.
Despite signing Tzolis, Arsenal are still aiming to sign another left winger, suggesting that the Greece international has to fight for a starting berth.
The PAOK academy graduate previously endured an unsuccessful spell at Norwich City, although he was still a young player at the time. A move to Arsenal offers him the chance to prove himself in English football once again.
