Mohamed Salah is reportedly on the verge of a move to the Süper Lig, to join Besiktas months after leaving Liverpool.
A move to the Istanbul club looks likely, and the Turkish giants are said to be preparing a significant pay package to secure their man.
Salah, now 34, is currently out of contract following his departure from Anfield after a historic nine years.

As per reports from FotoMac, Besiktas have reportedly tabled a contract worth up to €12.5m. However, some other outlets are reporting a figure closer to €10-12m across a one-year deal with the option of another season. €12.5m works out at around €240k-p/w, which is a big chuck less than the £400k weekly wages he made in his final season at Liverpool.
Negotiations with Salah's representative, Ramy Abbas, recently reached a turning point as both parties found common ground on personal terms after talks stalled over money.
Besiktas president Serdal Adal had revealed that Salah was now in control of his destiny. "As has been published in the media, we have for some time been conducting negotiations with Salah and his representatives regarding the details of the deal," he said.
He added: "In the final stage... we submitted our final official offer. We also asked them to inform us of their decision within a short period."
Salah would join ex-Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjær if the deal goes ahead, looking to build on a fourth-place finish last season.
Europa League football could also await him, should Besiktas come through their second-leg tie on July 30 with FC Midtjylland after beating the Danish side one-nil in the first game.
He could join Arsenal's Leandro Trossard, who recently completed a move from the reigning Premier League champions.

New Chapter Set After Difficult Anfield Farewell
Arne Slot and Mohamed Salah
Salah's final season at Anfield failed to follow suit with the rest of his career at Liverpool. A testing spell under Arne Slot saw public falling outs, rare interviews and his worst season in terms of pure numbers. Still, his seven goals and assists were still more goal contributions combined than Cole Palmer, Phil Foden, Bukayo Saka, Florian Wirtz and many other notable names.
Yet, he left with a staggering 257 goals and 123 assists in 442 games in all competitions, recording two league titles, a Champions League, FA Cup and two Player of the Season campaigns. After much deliberation, he opted to run down his contract to seek a new club.
The 2026 World Cup looked to be a promising campaign, but his country squandered a two-goal lead against Argentina in the knockouts, losing late in the Round of 16. Now, his focus is on a new chapter.
