Jurgen Klopp remains a beloved figure on Merseyside, but his latest attempt to add to a squad has been firmly rebuffed, this time in his role away from the dugout.
According to Brazilian outlet ge.globo, Palmeiras have turned down multiple approaches from the German for one of the brightest prospects in their academy.

Klopp, of course, spent close to nine years transforming Liverpool before stepping away, then taking up a position as global head of football at Red Bull and then leaving to become the manager of the German national team.
It was in that capacity that he moved to try and secure the teenager, only to find the Brazilian giants unwilling to part with a player they regard as a genuine gem.
The talent at the centre of the interest is Eduardo Conceicao, a 16 year old striker who has been earmarked for a bright future at the Allianz Parque.
So highly is he rated that he was recently named among a select group of players tipped to feature at the 2030 World Cup, appearing as the only Brazilian on an 11 man list compiled by the Eyeball platform and published by The Athletic.
Palmeiras, per ge, initially rejected an offer from Klopp’s Red Bull in the region of seven million euros, before a second bid worth around ten million euros was also knocked back.
“Prior to this, Palmeiras had rejected offers of between 20 and 25 million euros from England , as well as offers from Jürgen Klopp, then global head of football at Red Bull, initially for around 7 million euros (R$ 40.9 million) and a second for 10 million euros (R$ 58 million).”
Those figures fell well short of the club’s valuation, with the Sao Paulo outfit understood to want something closer to fifty million euros before they would even consider a sale.
Klopp is far from alone in admiring the youngster.
The report claims representatives have held discussions with a string of European heavyweights in recent months, including Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Manchester United and Barcelona, with figures of around twenty five million euros plus bonuses discussed.
None of those conversations, however, progressed into a formal written proposal.
Palmeiras have made their intentions clear.
Rather than cash in early, the club are focused on developing Eduardo for their senior side, mirroring the careful pathway that produced Endrick and Estevao in recent years.
Manager Abel Ferreira has taken the striker under his wing, offering guidance during training, while senior professionals such as Marlon Freitas have helped school him on his positioning.
To that end, the club have deliberately managed his workload, using the World Cup break to integrate him into pre season with the first team before returning him to youth football for competitive minutes.
The strategy is a simple one, to nurture his development and, in turn, drive up his value even further.
For Klopp, it is a rare setback in his new post, and a reminder that even his considerable pulling power carries little weight against a club determined to protect its finest young asset.
For now, Eduardo stays exactly where Palmeiras want him.
