Chelsea kick off their pre-season tour of Australia and Asia on Tuesday night in Sydney, taking on A-League Men outfit Western Sydney Wanderers at Accor Stadium.
The Blues have brought a strong squad down under, headlined by big names like Cole Palmer, Joao Pedro, Estevao, Wesley Fofana, Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens, Romeo Lavia and Robert Sanchez.

Also among the players named is Sydney-born wonderkid Mahdi Nicoll-Jazuli, who recently signed his first pro deal with the Premier League club.

Xabi Alonso’s first match since taking the reins of the Blues comes against the Wanderers and there will likely be plenty of eyes on how his team lines up.
There were over 5,000 fans at Chelsea’s open training session on Sunday night, with Australian fans turning out in their droves to get a rare glimpse of their team in their own backyard.
The London outfit will take on a new look Wanderers team who have had plenty of turnover from a horror season where they finished last in the A-League as Ufuk Talay takes to the dugout for the second time, following a 2-0 win over Tigers FC in their Australia Cup Round of 32 opener this week.
Following this match, Chelsea will take on local rivals Spurs on Saturday at Accor Stadium, before heading to Asia for clashes against Juventus, AC Milan and Johor Darul Ta’zim.

The Wanderers are yet to confirm their squad for this clash, although it has been announced that new signing Nicolas Milanovic is set to feature.
Chelsea’s record in Australia
Chelsea will arrive in Sydney with an unbeaten record in Australia stretching back more than 60 years.
The Blues first visited the country in 1965, embarking on an extensive 11-match tour which took them to Sydney, Canberra, Newcastle, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Hobart, Wollongong and Brisbane.
Chelsea won nine of those matches and drew the other two, scoring 47 goals and conceding only seven. Their biggest victory was a 12-0 win over Tasmania, during which Peter Osgood scored five times.
The London club returned to Perth in 1974 and defeated a Western Australia representative side 1-0 at Perry Lakes Stadium.
It would be another 41 years before Chelsea came back to Australia. José Mourinho brought the newly crowned Premier League champions to Sydney in June 2015, where Loïc Rémy’s spectacular first-half goal secured a 1-0 win over Sydney FC at ANZ Stadium.
A crowd of 83,598 attended the match, which was Chelsea’s first appearance in Sydney since the opening game of their 1965 tour.
Chelsea’s most recent Australian fixture came in July 2018, when Pedro scored the only goal in a 1-0 victory over Perth Glory at Optus Stadium. The match attracted 55,522 spectators and was Maurizio Sarri’s first game in charge of the Blues.
