Arsenal handed new Bruno Guimaraes boost

Arsenal appear to have been handed a new boost in their high-profile pursuit of Vinicius Jr’s Brazil team-mate Bruno Guimaraes.

The Gunners have been trying to sign Newcastle’s influential captain for weeks now, but have been met by firm resistance at St James’ Park so far.

talkSPORT claim that Arsenal will step up their move for Guimaraes again this week, with Newcastle potentially already planning for life after the 28-year-old.

Reports in Brazil suggest that another Selecao international - Botafogo midfielder Danilo - is eyeing a return to the Premier League after links to Newcastle as Guimaraes’ replacement.

The former Nottingham Forest man is also said to be on Manchester United’s radar this summer.
