Arsenal have the finances in place to make Vinicius Junior their highest-paid player, talkSPORT understands.
Gunners winger Bukayo Saka is the club's top earner with a weekly wage of over £300,000.

However, Vini Jr's mooted wage would gazump Saka's pay packet.
The Brazil star takes home a wage of approximately £246,000-a-week at Real Madrid.
How much is Vini Jr hoping to earn?
But with his contract at Real expiring at the end of the season, Vini Jr is hoping for a bumper increase.
Reports claim the 26-year-old is seeking as much as €550,000 (£470,000).
Despite the eye-watering figure, it would not make him the Premier League's highest-paid player.
Instead, that tag belongs to Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, who signed a new contract in January 2025 that made him the first player to earn £500,000-a-week.
Arsenal are pondering whether to make a move for Vini Jr, whose future at the Bernabeu is uncertain following the Spanish giant's pursuit of Yan Diomande.
It is understood Real have a verbal agreement in principle with RB Leipzig for Diomande, beating Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool to his signature.
As for Vini Jr, Arsenal are yet to initiate direct contact with Real over a move and view the 26-year-old as an option rather than their number one target.

Although the Brazilian would undoubtedly bring plenty of quality to Arsenal and the Premier League as a whole, former Watford striker Troy Deeney questioned whether the striker's character would be the right fit for their dressing room.

"If it did happen, it would be amazing for the Premier League to have a superstar on that level in terms of global appeal," Deeney said on talkSPORT Breakfast.
"I don't like it. I don't think it suits the way Arsenal play. I don't think his personality suits [Mikel] Arteta.
"I think he's a massive diva in terms of what he wants and what he needs.
"I don't think he would buy into the collective, and that would be something new for Arteta to have to deal with, because he's all about the group.
"You'd have Saka on one side, who's done everything right, then you bring in this guy and go, 'Everyone, give him the ball.' And you have to keep giving him the ball.
"I don't like it. I don't think it helps Arsenal, I really don't."
