A new name has emerged as a potential replacement for Rafael Leao according to a report: Manchester City winger Savinho.
At the moment, the Leao situation seems to hold the key to unlocking Milan’s mercato again. If he is sold – with Turkey seeming like the most likely destination – then the management are ready to move for a replacement, with Konstantinos Karetsas the strongest link.

Savinho bid prepared
However, The Sun are reporting that a new idea has entered the minds of the Milan directors in Savinho. It will not be an easy pursuit though, because Spurs are at the ‘front of the queue’ to sign him and ‘negotiations are well advanced’.
Spurs head coach Roberto De Zerbi ‘views Savinho‘s pace and direct creativity as an ideal fit’ for what he wants to build in north London. He is their number one target, but there is also interest from the Rossoneri.
The source adds that Milan had ‘initially registered an ambitious interest in Phil Foden’ as Rafael Leao’s replacement, until he renewed with Manchester City. Now, it is Savinho who is seen as a bit more of an attainable target.
Milan are preparing a loan with obligation to buy package at €50-55m, which is far above the reported figures for Karetsas. However, the sale of Leao to Fenerbahce for €50m would give them the funds to formalise the offer.
Manchester City ‘have not yet received formal offers’ from either Spurs or Milan but they are open to selling him. So, it could be a race against time for the Rossoneri to get their offer together.
