Pedro Neto attracting Liverpool interest

Liverpool are reportedly keen on Pedro Neto his summer in what would be a surprising transfer to conceive happening.

Pedro Neto is reportedly an option for Liverpool this summer.

Chelsea have had one of the busiest and most eye-catching summers in the Premier League, with Xabi Alonso’s arrival at Stamford Bridge triggering a spending spree.

The Blues kicked things off by bringing in wingback Marco Palestra, before adding Emmanuel Emegha and winger Geovany Quenda to bolster their attacking options.

That spree reached its peak with a record swoop for Morgan Rogers, with Chelsea paying an eye-watering £117million to prise the England international away from Aston Villa, edging out Arsenal in the process.

But while the headlines have focused on incomings, there is also plenty of noise building around one of Chelsea’s existing stars — and it is Liverpool who have been mentioned as an interested party.

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are aware of the growing interest in Pedro Neto with Liverpool among the clubs interested.

The report states Chelsea are not actively shopping the 26-year-old, but insiders at the club are keeping tabs on the fees being quoted elsewhere in Europe, specifically for RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande and Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola, both of whom are valued at over £100million by their clubs.

While Neto himself would be unlikely to command a fee anywhere near that level, it has reportedly given Chelsea a clearer sense of what their own winger might be worth on the current market, even though no valuation has been formally attached to him yet.

Manchester City and clubs in Saudi Arabia have likewise also been linked with a move for the Portuguese international.

It is not the first time Liverpool have circled the Wolves academy product – the Reds were previously linked with Neto as a potential long-term successor to Mohamed Salah before he eventually joined Chelsea for £54million back in 2024.

Neto is currently absent from Chelsea’s pre-season tour, which began in Sydney, as he continues his post-World Cup downtime after representing Portugal in the tournament.
