AS Monaco star Maghnes Akliouche has reportedly decided his future amid transfer interest from Liverpool and PSG
Liverpool’s search for attacking reinforcements has led the club to AS Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche during the summer transfer window.
The Reds have made an initial approach to assess the availability of the France international as they continue to explore options to strengthen their forward line ahead of the new season.

Paris Saint-Germain have also been pursuing Akliouche for several weeks, with the Ligue 1 champions already seeing multiple offers rejected by Monaco.
Liverpool’s interest has added another major club to the race, although negotiations between Monaco and PSG have remained active despite the lack of an agreement over a transfer fee.
However, the latest reports suggest Liverpool face a significant obstacle that extends beyond agreeing a fee with Monaco.
According to Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna, Akliouche has made his preference clear and wants to join Paris Saint-Germain despite Liverpool’s efforts to sign him. The report states that Liverpool are prepared to offer Monaco more money than PSG, but the player’s priority is a move to the French champions.
Aouna adds that discussions between PSG and Monaco are continuing as the clubs attempt to reach an agreement. While negotiations remain ongoing, no deal has yet been completed between the two Ligue 1 sides.
Liverpool’s interest in the 24-year-old first emerged last week with reports that the club had made an initial approach to Monaco. The Reds were said to have checked on the player’s availability as part of their recruitment plans, while PSG were already regarded as the leading contenders after submitting several unsuccessful bids.
Monaco have so far resisted PSG’s attempts to sign Akliouche. Sky Sports reported that the French club rejected multiple offers, including the latest proposal worth around £34 million, indicating they value the player more highly than the bids received.
The latest development suggests Liverpool’s willingness to outbid PSG may not be enough to alter the direction of the transfer. According to Aouna’s reporting, the decisive factor is the player’s desire to move to Paris rather than the financial package being offered to Monaco.
Unless Akliouche changes his position or negotiations between PSG and Monaco collapse, Liverpool appear to face an uphill battle to secure his signature. For now, the transfer remains unresolved, with talks between the two French clubs continuing as PSG attempt to complete a deal for one of their priority attacking targets.
