Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing Vinicius Jr on a free transfer in 2027 should he not extend his contract with Real Madrid.

Liverpool is reportedly interested in Vinicius Jr. Spanish journalist Ramón Álvarez de Mon revealed on his YouTube channel last week that the Reds were the first Premier League club to respond positively when the Brazilian’s camp quietly tested the market.
According to Alvarez de Mon, “the numbers worked out for 2027” rather than this summer, positioning Liverpool as long-term admirers rather than immediate suitors.

The Brazilian signed a new deal with Madrid in 2022, with the details announced a year later. He currently earns around €18million (£15.8m) per year after tax, with his contract including a €1billion release clause.
Last season, Vinicius Jr racked up 53 appearances for Real Madrid across all competitions, scoring 22 goals and providing 14 assists.
But if an unlikely move for the 26-year-old will materialse, Liverpool will have competition from the Premier League.
The Telegraph report that Arsenal is ready to make Vinicius Jr the best-paid player in the club’s history. The Brazilian currently earns £400,000 a week at the Bernabéu, but Arsenal are understood to have already sketched out improved terms designed to make the move irresistible, with finance said to be “no barrier” to the pursuit.
The champions have had a subdued window so far, bringing in only Christos Tzolis and Illan Meslier, but landing Vinicius would instantly transform Mikel Arteta’s project as he chases Champions League glory after last season’s final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.
Vinicius enters the final year of his contract, and while Real’s new head coach José Mourinho is reportedly dead against sanctioning any sale of his prized asset, growing uncertainty over a renewal has left the situation more delicate than club president Florentino Perez would like.
There has been no direct club-to-club contact yet according to the report.
It is not stated whether the Gunners want to wait until he is potentially a free agent or not.
