Arsenal ready to let 'world-class' star join Liverpool as FSG ramp up interest - report

Arsenal are ready to let Liverpool complete a deal to sign Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, because they are unhappy with a decision by the Champions League winners, according to L'Equipe.

Arsenal and Liverpool are both looking to sign a new top-class wide player in the summer transfer window, with both clubs already suffering big disappointment in the market.

The Gunners had identified Morgan Rogers at Aston Villa as their number one attacking target, and they wanted to sign him alongside Christos Tzolis for the left-hand side.

However, Chelsea hijacked any potential move with a huge £117m offer that the north Londoners were unwilling to match, with the England international completing a big-money switch to Stamford Bridge.

Despite bringing in Victor Munoz, Liverpool are also in the market for a high-profile replacement for Mohamed Salah following the Egyptian's exit this summer, and they had identified Yan Diomande as their top target.

However, the RB Leipzig sensation quickly made it clear that his preferred move was to join PSG, although it looks increasingly likely that the Ivory Coast international will now be a Real Madrid player next term.

Arsenal and Liverpool have both been linked with a move to prise Barcola away from the Parc des Princes, but the former have stepped out of the race.

L'Equipe claimed on Saturday that Liverpool, Arsenal and Bayern Munich were the frontrunners for Barcola's signature after it was confirmed that he won't be signing a new contract to stay at PSG.

However, the same outlet then reported later on Saturday that the Gunners believe that PSG's demands for the France international aren't fair, and they would only be willing to go to €90m for his services.

Some reports have suggested that the Ligue 1 champions could demand up to £145m for the 23-year-old, even though he only has two years remaining on his contract.

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Barcola sees Liverpool as the 'perfect' club for his developments, with the Reds also trying to sign him 12 months ago.

It is now said that Arsenal have accepted the 'world-class' forward's viewpoint, and they are now ready to 'let' Liverpool sign him, if they are willing to meet his asking price.
