Four Brighton players could be on the move as the Seagulls continue to tweak their squad ahead of the new season.
Brighton have already added the likes of Luka Vuskovic, Pascal Struijk, Zadok Yohanna, Michael Svoboda and Costinha to their first team squad but they have big decisions to make on potential outgoings.
Brighton are currently on a pre-season training camp in Austria as they prepare for the Conference League and Premier League openers in August.
It's a chance for the new arrivals to impress and it could also see others planning the next steps of their careers.
Here's four players who could be on the move shortly - including a shock switch for star man Danny Welbeck.
Igor Julio
The Brazilian defender has been heavily linked with a move to Turkish club Beşiktas, as they seek to bolster their defence with a left sided centre back. Igor spent the first part of last season on loan at West Ham and is currently in pre-season with Brighton.
The 28-year-old has one year left on his contract and is open to a move as he seeks regular football this term. "I'm a Brighton player," he said recently. "I want to have a great season, either here or somewhere else. I just want to be able to play again, compete and be happy. I hope this happens this season."
Igor has also been linked with La Liga clubs and also back in his native Brazil.
Matt O'Riley
For one reason or another it just has not worked out for for O'Riley at Brighton. The Seagulls paid £25m to prise the Denmark international from Celtic in the summer of 2024 but despite brief glimpses in Albion shirt, he's never had a sustained run in the team. He spent the first half of last season loan at Marseille and did quite well for them in the Champions League and Ligue1.
He returned to Brighton in January but hardly featured at all in the final stages of the season. He seems to be behind Georginio and Jack Hinshelwood in the pecking order for the No 10 role and a parting of the ways could make sense for all parties this summer. He has long standing interest from Serie A clubs Roma and Atalanta.
Carl Rushworth
It looks a though this move to Coventry could go ahead and perhaps sooner rather than later. Rushworth was on loan with Frank Lampard's men last term and helped them to the Championship title and promotion to the Premier League. The Sky Blues have reportedly made two bids of around £20m and then £25m as they look to seal a permanent move for the 25-year-old goalkeeper.
Brighton could be persuaded but are said to want a buy back clause and sell-on fee with the package. Watch this space for further movement this week. Brighton are quite well stacked for goalkeepers with Jason Steele, Bart Verbruggen and James Beadle all on the books.
Danny Welbeck
Perhaps the most unwanted story of the week from a Brighton point of view. Chelsea want to sign the 35-year striker and transfer expert David Ornstein reports that a deal could easily be done.
Welbeck is currently away in Austria with Brighton but at 35, he could be tempted with the offer of one last big contract and to play under Alonso. Anyone but Chelsea was the main reaction from Brighton fans. His former club Man United could have been a likely destination - if he decided to leave - but Chelsea now looks likely. A big blow if this goes through.
Carlos Baleba
It's no major surprise that transfer rumours around Baleba and Manchester United surfaced again. The Red Devils tried to sign the Cameroon international last summer but Albion's £100m-plus valuation cooled interest. Sky Sports and Fabrizio Romano reported last week that United are revisiting the transfer and Romano stated that the Baleba camp have pushed for the move.
Baleba is currently in pre-season with Brighton in Austria. Brighton have to gauge just how serious United's interest is and if United can match Brighton's valuation. The Seagulls will however been keen to avoid a repeat a repeat of last season and may not wish to keep an unhappy player. I can't see this see it happening this week!
