Arsenal star offered around by intermediaries – Club can now make a move

Last season, Gabriel Martinelli’s importance at Arsenal somewhat reduced. While he came up with crucial moments, the Brazilian’s stock has fallen and he could be on his way out of the club.

The 25-year-old featured for only around 1000 minutes in the Premier League during the 2025/26 campaign. He scored just once but that number was six in the Champions League, as he also showed his importance for Brazil at the World Cup.

He scored a stoppage time winner against Japan in the Round of 32, finishing superbly when the team really needed that.

But with Christos Tzolis having joined, Martinelli’s future could lie in Italy.

Martinelli offered around

TeleRadioStereo report the Arsenal player has been offered around since the start of July. They note how they reported the same earlier in the month and that remains the case now.

Intermediaries put forward the Brazilian to Roma, who took note of the situation. They were interested but didn’t prioritise a move. Back then, they were fully focused on moving for West Ham’s Crysencio Summerville, who has now joined Al-Hilal.

As a result, they are now much more interested in the Gunners’ winger. The outlet now expect Martinelli to leave Arsenal and this could come as a big boost for Roma, who remain in the market for an attacking signing.

Il Messaggero – via Giallorossi.net, note that Martinelli’s wage demands would be the only problem. He earns €7m per season, with the Italian side having put up a wage cap of around €4.5m per season.

Our take: Early signs of exit

Even if Roma may not sign Martinelli, it is a sign that the Brazilian could be on his way out. If that doesn’t happen this summer, it would happen in 2027.

His current deal at Arsenal runs out then but the Gunners have the option of renewing it for a season.
