Liverpool icon Jordan Henderson could ruin his parting message to the Anfield faithful ahead of a potential transfer to Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
The 36-year-old midfielder spent 12 memorable years with the Reds, where he moved from a promising prospect into a key player, leader, and eventual winner in the team.
During his time at Liverpool, Henderson won eight trophies and became the first captain of the club to lift the Premier League since the inception of the top flight nearly thirty years prior to that triumph.
With nearly 500 appearances for the club and many memorable moments, the midfielder left for the Saudi Pro League as part of a recruitment drive.
There were struggles in his career post-Liverpool, spending just six months with Al-Ettifaq before he traded it all in for a move to the Netherlands with Ajax.
In that time, further struggles followed, with Henderson keen to move in search of a return to the Premier League, which came about last summer when he joined Brentford on a free transfer.
The veteran midfielder proved to be good value for the Bees, making 34 appearances across all competitions, but it's his experience that has brought about new potential suitors for the former Liverpool man.

Recent reports have claimed that Henderson is a target for Chelsea this summer, in a move that could see him join the rivals on a free transfer, with Brentford open to sanctioning an exit.
That move could risk tarnishing the 36-year-old's legacy at Liverpool, given that the Reds will be in direct competition with the Blues heading into the new season.
Even more so, it risks ruining an emotional farewell message from Henderson when he announced the end of his journey with Liverpool back in 2023.
He said on social media: "It's hard to put these last 12 years into words and it's even harder to say goodbye. I will always be a Red. Until the day I die.
"Thank you for everything. You'll never walk alone. Jordan."
It's a message that certainly rang true, but for many fans, there may be a feeling that a former captain would never make a switch to direct rivals like Chelsea.
It's unclear whether that will ruin his emotional farewell, and exactly what kind of reception he could get when the two teams face off next season, should he make the move.

Either way, though, it's a move that certainly risks the wrath of fans more than the one to Brentford did last season.
