Chelsea supporters will get to see their side in action for the first time since Xabi Alonso took charge when they face Western Sydney Wanderers on Tuesday.
The Blues will face the A-League side on Tuesday morning, before continuing on a tour of Australia and Asia during which they will face Tottenham Hotspur, Juventus and AC Milan, before ending their trip with a game against Johor Darul Ta’zim.
Ahead of Tuesday’s match, however, it has emerged that one member of Alonso’s squad is on the radar of two huge Premier League rivals.
As per CaughtOffside, both Manchester City and Liverpool have both shown interest in Chelsea winger Pedro Neto.
The report claims that City – now managed by former Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca – have considered an approach for the Portugal international, who impressed during Maresca’s tenure at Stamford Bridge.
Neto joined the Blues from Wolves back in 2024 and made his 100th appearance for the west London outfit towards the end of last season.
During that time the winger has scored 19 goals and provided the same number of assists, and his performances have put him on the radar of the Citizens.

It is claimed that Maresca has a genuine interest in reuniting with Neto at The Etihad, while Liverpool are also believed to have been monitoring the player but not to the extent that City have.
Some of those in charge of Chelsea are said to have considered selling the 26-year-old for a fee of around £68 million, but it remains to be seen whether or not interested clubs would be willing to pay that amount to sign the attacker.
This summer has already been a busy one for Chelsea, with Morgan Rogers, Geovany Quenda and Marco Palestra all arriving at Stamford Bridge.
Neto’s current contract in west London is set to run until the end of the 2030/31 campaign.
