A new art collection is celebrating the architecture and energy of a north London neighbourhood through a striking mix of photography and collage.
Arsenal at Home is the latest project by award-winning Highbury artist Gail Seres-Woolfson, featuring 10 original collage works alongside prints and photographs inspired by the built environment.
The project began with an invitation to exhibit work at Highbury Stadium Square and has grown into a wider exploration of the area’s architecture, blending fragments of her photography with painting and drawing, bringing together elements of Highbury with the dynamic public walkways of the Emirates.

Ms Seres-Woolfson said: "I was delighted to be invited to make work for an exhibition for residents at Highbury Stadium Square.
"My collage approach, using my photography with painting and drawing, celebrates the contrasts, connections and dynamism of Highbury and the Emirates Stadium in my home neighbourhood. My art explores the transformational possibilities of the built environment; where landscape becomes dreamscape."

The collection also includes a series of photographs, Playing at the Emirates, as part of the Arsenal at Home project.
Movement and the human form are key elements in her work, influenced by her background in dance and regular collaborations with artists from other disciplines.
She said: "For me the idea of collage extends beyond paper and paint – it can also take the form of component parts in 3d space."
"My first love in life is dance, and as part of my art practice I regularly collaborate with cross artform practitioners, bringing together bodies and playfully responding to each other and the structures and spaces around us."

Ms Seres-Woolfson said: "Inspired by the Emirates and the iconic statues along the public walkways, it was a pleasure to spend a sunny morning with movement practitioners Samuel Adebayo and Daniel Rodriguez and my creative team - making shapes and enjoying the ambiance of our surroundings."
The Arsenal at Home collection will be exhibited at Art@111 on Highbury Park from August 20 to 23.
