Liverpool are still pushing hard to complete the signing of Bradley Barcola this summer, and now a significant update has emerged regarding the situation.
The 23-year-old is the Reds’ most talked-about current target, with the Paris Saint-Germain winger seen as their most exciting attacking wide option, having missed out on RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande.
Many updates have emerged of late over Liverpool’s pursuit of the speedy Barcola ahead of next season, including from the reliable Fabrizio Romano over the weekend:
“Liverpool have been leading the race for Bradley Barcola since April – and they are working on the deal. Understand Barcola’s open to the move and gives priority to LFC project if they can get a deal done with PSG. Liverpool, waiting for PSG indications on price/details.”
Now, L’Equipe in France report that Liverpool have initiated talks with Barcola over a move to Anfield, but there is a large gap in his valuation between PSG and Liverpool.
The Frenchman doesn’t intend to sign a contract extension at the Ligue 1 giants, acting as a further boost for the Reds.

Barcola is a fantastic attacking player, proving be a key member of France’s devastating attacking unit at the 2026 World Cup, and being praised by Kylian Mbappe:
“It was inevitable that he would reach the highest level, but he did so in his very first season in Paris. He’s really starting to establish himself with the national team. Bradley doesn’t talk much. You have to understand that. But once you do, you know he’s a great guy.”
As things stand, it does feel like an agreement will eventually be reached between Liverpool and PSG, but the Reds must avoid spending silly money on Barcola.
He isn’t yet a world-class winger – that may well come with time – and if they pay the rumoured £145.3m on him that PSG are reportedly demanding, that will be massively over the odds.
Barcola’s lightning pace and end product can be a lethal weapon for Liverpool under Andoni Iraola, though, and he will hopefully be their marquee signing of the summer sooner rather than later.
