Tosin Adarabioyo is facing an avalanche of fan backlash following his performance against Western Sydney Wanderers in Xabi Alonso’s first game as Chelsea boss.
Xabi Alonso’s time as Chelsea manager began with a chaotic 6-4 pre-season victory over Western Sydney Wanderers at Accor Stadium.
Much like last season, Chelsea’s defence struggled throughout, with the Blues conceding four goals to the A-League side, raising immediate concerns over backline stability.

Chelsea started the match with a youthful defensive line featuring Josh Acheampong at right-back, Tosin Adarabioyo and Olutayo Subuloye in central defence, and Landon Emenalo at left-back.
Looking to tighten up a fragile backline after conceding early, manager Xabi Alonso rotated heavily in the second half. He introduced experienced central defenders Levi Colwill and Wesley Fofana, along with young option Aaron Anselmino and new signing Marco Palestra, but things didn’t get better.

Tosin Adarabioyo endured a difficult performance before being substituted in the 63rd minute.

This fan kept is simple: “Tosin Adarabioyo struggled today, and he’ll know he has to be much better if he wants to cement his place under Xabi Alonso.”

In response to a post asking about Adarabioyo’s performance, this fan said this: “He has to go bro.”
“Going into the new season with Tosin Adarabioyo is a criminal offence. He needs to be shipped out before the season starts,” another supporter wants to see him gone.
Lastly, this fan offered Strasbourg’s services for Adarabioyo: “Please strasbourg should take the goalkeeper alongside Tosin Adarabioyo.”
