Arsenal transfer news## Arsenal have scouted PSG winger Bradley Barcola, while they are looking at a potential transfer for Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Jr this summer

Arsenal have been handed a fresh update about Bradley Barcola’s future at Paris Saint-Germain, with Liverpool now reportedly in talks over a potential transfer.

The update comes at the same time that a move is understood to be being explored for Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr.

The Gunners have held an interest in signing France international Barcola as they look to add forward reinforcements to their squad, having scouted him previously.

Morgan Rogers was a primary target for Arsenal this summer before the England international went on to complete a £117million transfer to Chelsea from Aston Villa.

Barcola is one of several forwards to be linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer, but the Gunners are not alone in being mentioned as a potential destination for the 23-year-old winger.

Liverpool are widely reported to be leading the race to sign Barcola, and L’Equipe has reported that the Merseyside outfit are in talks with PSG about completing a deal for the forward.

However, the report goes on to say that both Liverpool and PSG are far apart in their valuations of the winger, indicating that the saga could continue until the end of the transfer window.

As a result, if Arsenal are still being credited with an interest in Barcola, they may be mindful that they may follow a similar timescale to complete a deal.

PSG would value Barcola at around €170million (£145million) if he was to leave the Parc des Princes, and Liverpool are currently looking to bring that figure way down to nearer £85m.

Vinicius Jr is the current main target for the left wing position – an area of the squad that the Gunners have identified as being in need of reinforcements.

Arsenal have already agreed a deal to sell Leandro Trossard to Besiktas after a £17million fee was finalised earlier this month, while the future of Gabriel Martinelli also remains uncertain.

Christos Tzolis has already completed a move to Arsenal from Club Brugge after the Gunners agreed a £34million fee with the Belgian club.

Illan Meslier is the only other new addition to the Arsenal squad that won the Premier League title last term, and it remains to be seen which other players will move to the Emirates before the September 1 deadline.
