It is not a transfer window until Chelsea completely shock everyone, and that is exactly what happened on Monday afternoon.
Interest in Danny Welbeck became public before it emerged that Chelsea are also keen on Jordan Henderson.
Supporters of some of Chelsea’s Premier League rivals are mocking the Blues for targeting two players who are both in their mid-30s.
However, Chelsea fans do not seem too bothered. In fact, many are actually happy to see the club going after Welbeck and Henderson.

Chelsea fans back moves for Danny Welbeck and Jordan Henderson
Chelsea supporters and pundits have been very critical of the club’s squad building and the lack of experience at Stamford Bridge.
Bringing in Welbeck and Henderson addresses that issue, which is why plenty of fans are actually on board with these moves.
On TalkingPoints, one Chelsea supporter posted: “[Welbeck is ] not a bad shout given his instincts for goals.”
Another wrote: “Danny Welbeck is a great player. I think Danny Welbeck will go to Chelsea.”
One Chelsea fan said: “Be a good buy at least we won’t have to face him.”
Another said: “Bring him in! He’s miles better than [Liam] Delap.”
Welbeck’s potential arrival is almost certain to have big ramifications at the Bridge.
Chelsea already have Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, Emmanuel Emegha, Marc Guiu and Nicolas Jackson on their books. That is too many options, so at least a couple of those names will have to go if Welbeck joins Chelsea, which now looks very likely.

Midfield is a bit different. Andrey Santos has left the club, while Romeo Lavia and Dario Essugo struggled to stay fit last season, so there could be room for Henderson without having to offload anyone.
Henderson is not Chelsea’s main midfield target, though. The Blues would love to bring in Alex Scott, who could end up replacing Enzo Fernandez.
Chelsea are preparing a second bid for Scott after seeing their first offer knocked back. It was believed to be in the region of £64m.
In this current market, it could cost £100m to get Scott out of the Vitality Stadium. Is he worth that? Probably not. Welbeck and Henderson, on the other hand, could end up being bargains, considering what they could cost and what they would add.
