Despite enjoying another excellent season at the Bernabeu, netting 22 goals and providing ten assists across all competitions, Vinicius is at a crossroads in his career in the Spanish capital. The Brazilian has a year remaining on his contract, and talks over a fresh deal have now stalled for quite some time.
While a new round of negotiations is expected to ensue this week, it's deemed a genuine possibility that a consensus won't be reached between the two parties.

While signing Vinicius would require a club-record transfer fee and salary, Arsenal's stance is that they aren't frightened of these conditions and are eager to push forward with the ambitious move.
