Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal have been heavily linked with a move for Luis Diaz this summer.
Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen has issued a strong transfer stance on former Liverpool forward Luis Diaz amid speculation linking him with a move to Al-Hilal.
The Saudi Pro League club are reportedly preparing an opening bid for the Colombian winger. Diaz joined Bayern Munich from Liverpool last July and enjoyed an impressive debut season.

The 29-year-old registered 49 goal involvements (26 goals and 23 assists) in all competitions. Only Harry Kane scored more goals for the club.
Despite Al-Hilal’s interest, Dreesen is determined to keep hold of Diaz and has no intention of sanctioning his departure this summer.
“We would be stupid if we sold Diaz, wouldn’t we?” he told Kicker. “We have a truly wonderful squad, honestly. Let us begin the season and get off to a start by scoring some goals!”
Diaz, who racked up five appearances and made two goal contributions for Colombia at the 2026 World Cup, is set to return for pre-season training soon as Vincent Kompany prepares Bayern Munich for the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup clash against Borussia Dortmund on August 22.
The Bundesliga champions will begin their title defence against Stuttgart the following weekend. The Colombian forward made a huge impact after joining Liverpool from FC Porto in January 2022.
Diaz played a key role in Liverpool’s quadruple push that season, starting all three finals as the Reds won the League Cup and FA Cup, while narrowly missing out on the Champions League and Premier League titles.
His progress was interrupted by a serious injury in the 2022-23 season, but he returned to feature 101 times over the following two campaigns.
He scored 13 goals in 2023-24 as Liverpool lifted another League Cup, playing the full 120 minutes in the final victory over Chelsea.
Diaz improved that tally to 17 goals in his final Liverpool season, helping the club secure a record-equalling 20th league title.
He became the 16th player to score a hat-trick for Liverpool in European competition after netting three times against Bayer Leverkusen in November 2024.
The season ended with Diaz collecting a Premier League winner’s medal after making 36 appearances and contributing 18 goals and assists before departing Anfield for Bayern Munich.
