Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka is not expected to undergo surgery on an Achilles problem that has plagued him for several months.

The 24-year-old initially picked up the injury back in April, and he was sidelined for five matches as a result.

Saka returned before the end of the season and he made seven more appearances for the Gunners.

However, it was clear that the forward had not fully recovered from the issue as England boss Thomas Tuchel confirmed that his fitness had to be managed throughout the World Cup. It meant he only started three matches before the third-place playoff against France.

Despite the injury still hampering him, it is believed that an operation is not required, and Saka is set to use his three-week break to ensure he is raring to go for Arsenal ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

Expected Return Date – Friday 21st August vs Coventry City (h)
