Liverpool has celebrated the launch of its new away kit by lighting up the Empire State Building in New York City.
Late on Tuesday, the Reds confirmed they will wear the white Adidas jersey throughout the 2026/27 campaign. The Merseyside club says the kit "combines timeless design with modern performance innovation" and is inspired by its away strips from the 1980s.
The jersey, available to purchase from Wednesday, will be paired with red shorts and white socks and features the iconic Adidas Trefoil logo and three stripes. The Reds are also releasing a lifestyle apparel range to accompany the jersey, along with training gear.
Liverpool went all out to promote its new away kit on Tuesday. The Empire State Building turned red in honor of the club, while an event was held alongside the East River in Brooklyn, overlooking New York's iconic Manhattan skyline.
Two of Liverpool's greatest players, Ian Rush and Robbie Fowler, attended the Brooklyn event. "I think myself and Rushy would love to be wearing this shirt, scoring the winner at Old Trafford against Manchester United," Fowler was heard saying at the event.
Liverpool also wrapped an NYC cab in white and red, featuring the club's badge and the Adidas Trefoil logo, to promote the new kit. The Reds will wear it in their preseason friendly against Wrexham at Yankee Stadium in New York on Wednesday.

Iraola's next test
New Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola made an excellent start to his Anfield career over the weekend by overseeing a 4-2 victory against Sunderland at Geodis Park in Nashville, Tennessee. His next challenge will be overcoming Championship side Wrexham.
Liverpool's expected first-choice left-back, Milos Kerkez, knows exactly what it's like to play for Iraola. The Hungarian defender was part of Iraola's Bournemouth squad before completing a big-money transfer to Merseyside a year ago.

"I was delighted, honestly," Kerkez told ESPN when asked about Iraola's appointment.
"I worked for him before, and he helped me and improved me a lot in the two years that I spent with him. I was really happy, obviously for myself but also for the team. Everyone knows what type of football he plays, so I think he is the perfect fit for us."

On Iraola's aggressive, attacking style of play, Kerkez added: "It's the intensity.
"He's not scared to play one-on-one all over the pitch, to press high and to be on the front foot always.
"If you see footage of how we all are after training, all lying down, then you can see what he is preparing us for. You definitely need legs and good condition for what he wants us to do, but we will be alright."
