Vinicius Junior## Arsenal have reportedly identified four alternatives to Vinicius Junior if they fail to land the Real Madrid star
10:52, 29 Jul 2026
Arsenal have reportedly identified four alternatives to Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior should they fail to sign the Brazilian international this summer.
The Gunners are said to be keeping a close eye on Antonio Nusa, Christian Pulisic, Ibrahim Mbaye and Brahim Díaz as Mikel Arteta's side look to strengthen the left-hand side of their attack.
Arsenal have sold Leandro Trossard to Turkish side Besiktas as they look to revamp their attack after winning the Premier League title.
Arteta lay down the gauntlet for Arsenal transfer chiefs following their defeat to PSG in the Champions League final and a move for Vini Jr would certainly answer that request.
However, reports in Spain claim the Brazilian star, who is entering the final year of his contract with Los Blancos, wants to stay at Real and that talks about a new deal have resumed.

Arsenal are said to be willing to offer Vini Jr a 'club-record' wage in an attempt to lure him to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
However, the Gunners are reportedly making contingency plans if they miss out on the 26-year-old.
CaughtOffside claims the Gunners are monitoring RB Leipzig star Nusa, AC Milan's Pulisic, PSG youngster Mbaye and Real winger Diaz.
The Sun also claims that Arsenal are interested in signing Nusa, with the Bundesliga side valueing the Norwegian at approximately £51 million.
Those claims follow on from reports in ESPN Brazil, which suggests that Arsenal are closing in on a centre-back signing as they look to address the hole in their squad left by William Saliba's recent injury.
The Gunners are interested in a move for Newcastle United captain Bruno Guimaraes, with intermediaries looking at a deal.
However, Mikel Arteta's side and Newcastle have not yet held talks about a possible transfer, with ESPN Brazil claiming a source close to that deal has informed them of the Gunners' move for a new unnamed centre-back.
"It's a deal that will happen even faster than the Bruno Guimaraes transfer," reporter Bruno Andrade said. "It's really imminent."
