Sky Sports News has just confirmed the latest development in Liverpool’s pursuit of PSG winger Bradley Barcola
Liverpool’s hunt for a new attacking option has intensified since Mohamed Salah’s departure, and one name has consistently featured near the top of their list this summer. Bradley Barcola, the Paris Saint-Germain and France winger, has been on Anfield’s radar for a number of years.
The 23-year-old’s situation in Paris has grown increasingly uncertain. He has two years left on his contract but has indicated he will not sign an extension, amid frustration over a lack of game time under Luis Enrique.

That combination of circumstances has now pushed Liverpool towards direct action.
According to Sky Sports, Liverpool are set to open talks with PSG over a potential deal for Barcola. After preliminary discussions with his representatives, the club have prepared an opening offer and are set to formalise their interest with an official approach.
Signing a winger has been a priority since Salah’s exit, and Barcola has been tracked by Liverpool for several years. The move to Anfield is said to appeal to the player.
The key obstacle is price. PSG bought Barcola from Lyon for around £40m in 2023, and their valuation has since risen sharply. Sky Sports News reported on Wednesday that PSG value him as high as £145m (€170m), however, an exclusive report fromDaveOCKOP.com puts the figure closer to £128.5m (€150m).
AsDaveOCKOP.com reported on Tuesday, Liverpool are preparing to submit a proposal worth €110 million (£94 million) upfront. The offer is structured with performance-based bonuses on top: an additional €20 million tied to domestic league success, and a further €20 million linked to Champions League achievements. That would take the total potential value of the deal to €150 million.
Even at that level, the offer would fall short of PSG’s reported €170 million valuation, with €40 million of the package not guaranteed. DaveOCKOP.com was first to report the fee, which was later corroborated by the Sky Sports News breakdown.
They claim that Liverpool is preparing an opening offer for the Frenchman.
Barcola has won nine major trophies in the last two years, including back-to-back Champions League titles with PSG, despite coming off the bench in both finals. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s arrival from Napoli in January 2025 established him as first choice on the left, limiting Barcola’s starting opportunities.
New Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola built his previous sides at Bournemouth and Rayo Vallecano around pace, energy and work-rate from his wingers. Barcola’s profile fits that approach, and Sky Sports has described him as a potentially key piece of Iraola’s rebuilt attack.
Arsenal also hold an interest in Bradley Barcola, having previously been priced out of a move for Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers. Their willingness to match Liverpool’s spending on Barcola has not been confirmed.
Should PSG accept a fee in the region reported, Barcola would become Liverpool’s most expensive signing, surpassing the £125m they paid Newcastle United for Alexander Isak last summer.
