Arsenal handed Vinicius Jr transfer boost after Real Madrid twist

Vinicius Junior’s future remains undecided as football.london understands that it is too soon to guarantee the winger will stay with Real Madrid.

Despite suggestions that the Brazilian is set to stay in Madrid, this is not the picture that sources have suggested is the current reality. Talks are ongoing with Real Madrid to help determine the player’s future.

However, there is still no agreement on a new contract, and therefore, there remains a chance that a move to Arsenal is on the table. The fact is, however, the Gunners are the secondary figure in this saga, while the primary story remains Vini Jr’s future with Real Madrid.

But Arsenal are alive to it, and they recognise the potential opportunity which exists should an agreement not be reached between Los Blancos and the player. football.london understands that this is a deal which sees alignment from manager, sporting director and ownership levels with the upsides of the significant financial outlay worth the investment.

It remains difficult for Arsenal to be confident about getting a deal done, considering that it is out of their hands at this stage. Until the landscape changes and the door fully opens for the club, they remain playing a waiting game.

All the while, they continue to pursue Bruno Guimaraes and are looking to replace the now injured William Saliba with pre-season kicking off officially this weekend. Vini Jr is understood to be keen to resolve his future with the player expected to return for pre-season training soon.

For comparison, football.london understands his Brazilian teammates, Gabriel Magalhaes and Gabriel Martinelli, are expected to join up with the Arsenal group ahead of the clash with Girona on Saturday. While Guimaraes is expected back at Newcastle United on Friday.
