Chelsea have smashed their transfer record to sign Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa for £117m, with the Blues beating Arsenal to the move after the Gunners failed to follow up their interest in the England international with a concrete bid.

Andrey Santos has left for rivals Manchester United in a deal worth almost £50m, a surprising departure given his 43 appearances for the Blues last season.
Marc Cucurella, a key part of Spain's World Cup-winning squad, has joined Real Madrid for a similar fee after more than 150 appearances in west London.
Tyrique George has also departed, joining Everton after an impressive loan spell under David Moyes last season, while Alejandro Garnacho heads out on loan to Aston Villa, also with a view to making the deal permanent.
