Crystal Palace star has interest including Saudi Arabia – Chelsea on of those keen

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace star Daniel Muñoz has interest from the Premier League and Saudi Arabia this summer. Chelsea get a mention.

Semana, and journalist Felipe Sierra, report that the 30-year-old has the potential to leave Selhurst Park this summer.

Two interested parties

According to the newspaper, Muñoz has attracted interest from agents who are reportedly trying to woo him for the upcoming season. Sierra, meanwhile, reports that there are two options on the table.

“There is interest from a Premier League team looking to buy him, and there is interest from Saudi Arabia,” he is quoted as saying.

The outlet does not name who the potential suitors are at this moment in time, just that Muñoz has offers on the table. The belief is that at 30, he is at the perfect age to make the big leap in his career. That’s despite feeling at home at Crystal Palace.

Chelsea in the mix

El Universal go a little further. They cover Semana’s information but then say that Barcelona would be one of the potential destinations. They are, reportedly, continuing to evaluate players to strengthen the right side of their defence. The Colombian has already been linked in the past.

They then say that Chelsea are also following the situation closely. According to the newspaper, they would have the economic capacity to negotiate a transfer. They would, though, need to convince Crystal Palace to sell. Rounding out the list of suitors is AC Milan.

Again, though, Palace remain a big obstacle. They have Muñoz tied to a deal until 2028 so there’s no obligation to sell. They would ‘require a high figure’ to sanction a departure this summer.

For now, it appears the suitors are just lining up. El Universal make no mention of a potential suitor in Saudi Arabia. And they also insist there have not been any formal offers at this point. But the may be a name to keep an eye on in the coming weeks.
