Tottenham remain hopeful of reaching an agreement for Manchester City winger.
Tottenham Hotspur have been in talks for Manchester City winger Savinho all summer, and there has been hope of a breakthrough finally being made this week.

AC Milan have reportedly been preparing a loan offer featuring a mandatory buy-out clause around €50-55 million for Savinho. However, Tottenham remain favourites to land the 22-year-old, having been in active dialogue with Man City.

Earlier this week, it emerged that Savinho wants to leave the Etihad Stadium for greener pastures. Spurs’ pursuit of Savinho has gathered momentum after the winger made it clear he wants a new adventure. Man City would like a replacement for the 22-year-old lined up before his exit is fully green-lighted, and have accelerated the plans around the situation over recent days.
However, according to a report from TEAMtalk, Tottenham have given an ultimatum to City regarding the Savinho deal. The North Londoners have told the Cityzens that they want a final answer on Savinho before the weekend, or they will walk away from the deal.
This means the Spurs bosses do not want negotiations dragging into August and have set a clear deadline for City to make their decision. Tottenham have already agreed personal terms with the Brazilian international, whose performance levels dipped last season due to injury problems and internal competition at the Etihad Stadium. The 22-year-old has been the No.1 attacking target all year long, and confidence must have grown within the N17 camp of reaching an agreement after Savinho’s desire to leave the Mancunian club this summer.
The report adds that the Lilywhites have made it clear to both City and Savinho’s representatives that they want the transfer completed before August 1, or else they will move their attention elsewhere. At one point, negotiations between the clubs seemed to have stalled, but the player has kept the move alive. He wants to become a part of Roberto De Zerbi’s forces.
The ACL injuries to Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert has left De Zerbi with just two recognised wide players in Mathys Tel and Mohammed Kudus, and a player of Savinho’s qualities could make a big difference to this Spurs side. Hopefully, an agreement for the South American trickster can be reached quickly, and he gets to gel with his new teammates in the pre-season.
