The 22-year-old has struggled to become a regular fixture in the Sky Blues’ starting XI and views a move to N17 as the perfect opportunity to reignite his stuttering career.

The North London outfit’s pursuit of Savinho has gathered momentum after the winger made it clear to Man City that he wants a new adventure. The Cityzens are understood to be seeking a replacement for the South American attacker before sanctioning his exit; however, Tottenham have given an ultimatum to Man City regarding the Savinho deal. They have told the Mancunian side that they want a final answer on the player before the weekend, or they will walk away from the deal.
According to a report from TEAMtalk, Tottenham have lined up alternative targets in case a move for Savinho does not materialise. One of the names on that list is former Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho.
Jadon Sancho has yet to find a new permanent home after his Manchester United career came to an end. The 26-year-old is without a club at the moment following his dramatic fall from grace in recent years. He spent last season on loan at Aston Villa, but the Unai Emery-managed club opted against offering him a permanent contract.
After Manchester United were forced to watch him leave for free at the end of his contract this summer, the Englishman is currently one of the highest-profile free agents on the market. Sancho has been surprisingly linked with a move to White Hart Lane, and should Spurs miss out on Savinho for the second summer running, they might shift their focus to the former Man United flop as a contingency plan.
Tottenham’s preference is to recruit a versatile winger who can contribute consistently in the final third. Sancho has got decent experience of playing in the Premier League, but he hasn’t proven himself to be a consistent performer across spells with Man United, Chelsea and Aston Villa. When he should be peaking at 26 and playing the best football of his career, the England international remains without a club.
So, it is a bit perplexing that the Spurs bosses have Sancho as one of the options to fall on if they fail to get a deal for Savinho over the line.
