**Liverpool have been credited with an interest in signing Lille star Matias Fernandez-Pardo and will be watching closely as the 21-year-old tries to force a summer exit.**
Replacing Mohamed Salah is Liverpool’s top priority, and the Reds are doing all they can to make PSG’s Bradley Barcola this replacement. The Frenchman is their No.1 transfer target, but the Reds have a long list of attackers they admire beyond him.
Fernandez-Pardo is one such target.
This week, [TEAMtalk correspondent Graeme Bailey claimed that Liverpool are looking at a host of attacking players this summer](https://live4liverpool.com/liverpool-leaving-no-stone-unturned-in-search-for-the-perfect-attacking-signing/), including the Lille star.
Bailey says: _“Liverpool have made enquiries over Bournemouth winger Rayan as they continue exploring long-term replacements for Mohamed Salah._ _The Reds are casting a wide net as they prepare for life after Salah and are leaving no stone unturned in their search for the right attacking addition._
_“Several names have already been linked, including Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh, Cologne’s Said El Mala, Lille’s Matias Fernandez-Pardo and Everton forward Iliman Ndiaye.”_
Now, reports from France suggest Fernandez-Pardo is upsetting the apple cart at Lille in a bid to leave the club this summer, drawing anger from club chiefs.
Lille fuming as Matias Fernandez-Pardo looks to force summer transfer
---------------------------------------------------------------------
According to French outlet [L’Equipe](https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Actualites/-son-depart-n-est-pas-un-sujet-olivier-letang-inflexible-concernant-l-avenir-de-matias-fernandez-pardo/1707653), Liverpool target Fernandez-Pardo has changed his agent for the second time in two years and is demanding to leave the club this summer.
This has not been met kindly by Lille, with club president Olivier Letang telling the press that they have made it clear to Fernandez-Pardo, his previous agents and his new representatives, that he will not be allowed to leave.
Letang said: _“The player is under contract until 2029, and his departure is not an issue. We are counting on him, he knows that, and we have been very clear with him.”_
Liverpool are not the only club interested in signing the 21-year-old this summer, who will cost around £60m. Arsenal, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid are all watching the forward closely.
Fernandez-Pardo’s 8 goals and 7 assists last season might not be worth a £60m fee, however, with Barcola remaining the obvious choice for Liverpool to pursue this summer.
