Everton are among several Premier League clubs monitoring Nathan Zézé, the FC Neom centre-back, as he considers leaving Saudi Arabia amid growing instability in the region, according to L’Équipe.
The 21-year-old, who left Nantes for around €20m last summer, has impressed in his debut season in the Saudi Pro League, rated among its better defensive performers. He’s also a regular for France’s Under-21s, with a return to Europe seen as a way to strengthen his case for senior recognition.
Everton are said to be watching the situation rather than actively pursuing it — no approach has been made, and Bournemouth and Crystal Palace are credited with similar interest.
Central defence hasn’t been treated as an urgent priority for David Moyes this summer, which may shape how seriously Everton choose to pursue this one.
Still, it’s a name worth filing away.
Everton have shown a pattern of tracking players early rather than waiting for a market to develop around them, and Zézé’s situation — an in-form defender potentially available from a Saudi club keen to cash in — is exactly the kind of opportunity that can move quickly if it gains traction elsewhere.
