Wrexham AFC have confirmed the signing of a Premier League player ahead of Wednesday’s pre-season friendly against Liverpool.
Wrexham AFC face their toughest pre-season test yet when they take on Liverpool at Yankee Stadium in New York on Wednesday night.
Phil Parkinson’s side are unbeaten in their opening three matches of the summer, including impressive victories over Manchester United and Leeds United.

Wrexham could also welcome back several key players for the clash, including reigning Player of the Season Josh Windass.
Liverpool began their pre-season campaign with a convincing 4-2 victory over Sunderland at the weekend, as Andoni Iraola took charge of his first game as Reds manager.
The Merseyside club have also been boosted by the arrivals of Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz and Ryan Gravenberch, who have linked up with the squad during the U.S. tour.
Although the Reds will start as clear favourites, pre-season friendlies are often unpredictable. Having already beaten two Premier League opponents this summer, Wrexham will believe they can cause another upset.
Ahead of the match, Wrexham AFC have officially confirmed the signing of wing-back Danny Imray from Crystal Palace for an undisclosed fee.
The 23-year-old, the club’s first men’s first-team signing of the summer, has signed a four-year contract and has joined his new teammates in New York for the latest leg of the U.S. tour.
Imray began his career at Chelmsford City before joining Crystal Palace as a teenager. He gained Championship experience last season during a loan spell at West Bromwich Albion.
Imray made his senior debut for Chelmsford City in the National League South at the age of 16 before joining Crystal Palace a year later.
He went on to make five EFL Trophy appearances for the Eagles’ development side and enjoyed loan spells at Chelmsford, Bromley and Blackpool.
Danny Imray spent the second half of last season on loan at West Bromwich Albion, making 17 Championship appearances.
He scored once against Watford and provided two assists, helping the Baggies put together a 10-match unbeaten run to avoid relegation. He also featured in West Brom’s 2-2 draw with Wrexham at The Hawthorns on Good Friday.
On signing for Wrexham, Imray said: “First and foremost, I think where this Club is going it’s definitely on an upward trajectory.
“It’s just everything about the Club really – everything behind the scenes. I’ve watched Welcome to Wrexham and it’s not just a Football Club that wants to do well on the pitch, but one that wants to do well off the pitch too.
“The community means a lot to the Club and I think that’s such a good way to be because without the fans, the clubs are nothing.
“There were loads of things that enticed me to come here, but the Club want to be in the Premier League and after speaking to the gaffer it’s just such an exciting project to be a part of.”
On Imray’s signing, manager Phil Parkinson added: “We’re pleased to welcome Danny to the Club. He’s got an interesting story, with how he’s worked his way up from non-league to the Premier League, and is a young player with potential. We’re delighted to welcome him into the squad here in New York today.”
