Liverpool’s transfer business looks as though it could finally be about to move up a gear, with speculation growing over one player in particular.
Victor Munoz is still the only new signing to have been made by the Reds this summer, although Jeremy Jacquet is now with his new side after completing a deal earlier in the year. Finding a replacement for Mohamed Salah remains an absolute must though, with the search for the Egyptian heir having taken longer than fans would have liked.
There could be some decisive moves soon though, with the pursuit of Bradley Barcola now looking as though it is reaching a crucial stage, although Liverpool might not be alone in trying to get a deal done.
Here is the Liverpool.com verdict on the transfer gossip to emerge around the Reds today.
Bradley Barcola (PSG)
Arsenal has lined Barcola up as a transfer alternative to Vinicius Jr, with the Brazilian now looking set to stay at Real Madrid beyond this summer, according to Sky Sports.
The report claims that Liverpool is set to make an official approach to PSG for Barcola, with suggestions that the winger's asking price may have dropped from $193 million (€170M) to $171 million (€150M).
The Gunners could be about to provide some competition for his signature though. It's said that Arsenal will keep an eye on Vinicius' situation, but with him looking more likely to stay at the Bernabeu now, Barcola is lined up as another target.

Liverpool FC have launched their new home kit for the 2026/27, inspired by iconic adidas strip worn during the club's 1989/90 title-winning campaign.
Liverpool.com says: Vinicius always felt like an unrealistic target for Arsenal, and more than likely a ploy to get contract talks at Real going in his favor.
The Gunners' interest in Barcola feels more worrying though. Let's face it, Mikel Arteta's side is in a stronger position than Liverpool at the moment, and it might be able to throw more money at a deal. The Reds need to try and get this over the line as soon as possible.
Pedro Neto (Chelsea)
Pedro Neto is NOT on Liverpool's list of potential targets this summer, according to talkSPORT.
The Chelsea star has been linked with a move to Anfield amid doubts over his future as the Blues go on yet another transfer spree. It has been suggested though that his current club is not actively looking to move him on, and it seems the Reds aren't interested in any case.

Liverpool does have three other alternatives in mind should a move for Barcola not materialize, with FC Koln's Said El Mala, Lille's Matias Fernandez-Pardo and Brighton's Yankuba Minteh lined up. Bournemouth's Rayan is described as a "dream target", although his release clause doesn't become active until next year.
Liverpool.com says: Neto is a decent player, but his injury record would make him far too big a gamble. Going from Salah, who was nearly always available, to him would feel like a major step down.

Barcola is certainly the most attractive option, given he is a guarantee of quality, so hopefully Liverpool can find a way to come to a compromise with PSG.
