**Chelsea**'s quest to regain their **Women's Super League** title kicks off with a clash against **Aston Villa** at Stamford Bridge. It is a historic season for the club, as for the first time in their history, all their WSL home matches will be contested in SW6 this upcoming season.
**Sonia Bompastor**'s second season at the helm was not as successful as her first, as after six straight years of lifting the WSL trophy, the Blues' incredible run came to an end via a brilliant season from **Manchester City**.
Chelsea finished in **third**, two points behind second-place **Arsenal** and six points behind the champions. Bompastor will be hoping her team can regain that top spot this season and bring the silverware back to West London.

Chelsea's first away match of the season sees them travel up North to face **Manchester United**, who finished just behind them in fourth place last season. This is followed by back-to-back home matches against newly-promoted Birmingham City and title-contenders Arsenal respectively.
A trip down south to face **Brighton and Hove Albion** will be Chelsea's final contest before the WSL mid-season break. The campaign will resume with a tough visit to Manchester City in early January.
The Blues will conclude their season with a trip up to Merseyside, as they will face **Everton** at **Goodison Park**.
