Joel Ndala failed to make an impact at Owls
Ex-Owl Joel Ndala has signed for a new club after leaving Manchester City.
The 20-year-old joined Sheffield Wednesday on loan from City in January, making eight appearances in total, including three starts. The winger arrived at Hillsborough after spending the first-half of the campaign at Hull City.
Ndala failed to make an impact at Wednesday, making a huge mistake for the opening goal in the derby day defeat at Bramall Lane. He was subject to disciplinary measures due to timekeeping issues and did not feature in any of the last seven games of the season.
The wideman has now penned a contract at Belgium top-flight club Cercle Brugge until 2030 after a fee reported to be £2.5m was agreed.
He said: "I am very happy that everything is officially finalised. Cercle is known as a club that gives plenty of opportunities to young players. For me, this move feels like the right choice for my career. I am a player who likes to take on defenders and create scoring chances. I look forward to showing the fans what I can do."

He comes from the Manchester City academy and is an attacker capable of creating extra danger with his pace, creativity, and ability to take on defenders. Despite his young age, Joel has already gained valuable experience in the Championship and at PSV. Ndala spent 10 years in the Manchester City academy after signing from Port Vale, aged 10. He rose through the ranks, making his senior debut against Celtic in July 2024. He was loaned out to PSV and Nottingham Forest, playing in their under-21s teams, before getting his first taste of senior first-team football at Hull and Wednesday.
