PSG are on the verge of agreeing a deal for a potential Bradley Barcola this summer that could pave the way for Liverpool.
Paris Saint-Germain’s summer chase for Maghnes Akliouche has been one of the more drawn-out sagas of the transfer window, and it finally looks to be reaching its conclusion.
The Ligue 1 champions have had bid after bid knocked back by Monaco throughout the window, with an offer in the region of £34m (around €40m) rejected before an improved €45m proposal was also turned down for a fourth time this week, according to L’Équipe.

Liverpool had also thrown their hat into the ring, with Sky Sports confirming the Reds made an initial approach to Monaco to check on Akliouche’s availability.
There were even suggestions Liverpool were prepared to outbid PSG financially to hijack the move, giving Andoni Iraola’s side hope of adding another attacking option to a squad the manager has already said “needs to sign” a winger.
That competition, however, appears to have counted for little in the end. Fabrizio Romano has reported that PSG have made a brealthrough in talks for Akliouche:
“Paris Saint-Germain and AS Monaco reach breakthrough in talks for Maghnes Akliouche! Agreement now at final stages between clubs. Details to be sorted and then here we go expected next,” he wrote on X.
Here’s where it gets interesting for Liverpool fans, though. With PSG’s attacking business increasingly centred on bringing in Akliouche, it strengthens the sense that Bradley Barcola could be deemed surplus to requirements in Paris this summer.
DaveOCKOP.com exclusively revealed that Liverpool are preparing an official offer for Barcola, with a proposal worth €110 million (£94 million) upfront already being lined up.
The structure also includes performance-related add-ons — €20m for domestic success and a further €20m for Champions League achievements — taking the total potential package to €150 million .
That still sits below PSG’s reported €170m valuation, but with Barcola’s camp said to have already opened talks with Iraola and senior Anfield officials, and Akliouche’s arrival potentially meaning pieces may finally be falling into place for a deal.
