Arsenal are among five clubs keeping tabs on Bournemouth forward Rayan, according to reports.

The Sun claim that Mikel Arteta’s side, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool are all interested in the 19-year-old.

They suggest that Rayan could be available for £60m, despite reports that he has a release clause which is worth around £130m.

It is fair to say that most supporters on X are very sceptical about the accuracy of this story:

Are we just collecting Brazilians? Bruno G, Rayan, Vini 💀

why would we get a right winger, we have Starboy and well madueke is madueke, nvm I see why

— Ray (@2xPassive) July 30, 2026

This is not true. Rayan is a RW. We have 3 RW’s already.

This is obviously some false stuff

Ryan is a left winger? Why considering him at all?

What is this. Rayan plays Saka and Madueke's position. Arsenal is wasting more money again. What a nonsense.

Arsenal fans should take this story with a large pinch of salt

This transfer link isn’t particularly credible. As many have pointed out, Rayan is a right winger, which is not a position that the Gunners need to strengthen.

They already have Bukayo Saka and Noni Madueke for that side of the pitch, and investing heavily in another left-footed wide player makes very little sense. It is the opposite flank where the club are looking to strengthen.

Vinicius Jr remains the top priority

Despite having signed Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge, the Premier League champions are still hoping to secure the services of a top left winger before the transfer window closes.

The dream target is Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr. There has been conflicting information on whether the Brazilian will leave the Bernabeu this summer.

As things stand, he has not signed a new contract, and with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season, a decision will have to be made on his future.

It has been claimed that Vinicius has told friends that he will not leave Real on a free transfer, which does increase the chances of a move happening in the coming weeks if a breakthrough can’t be found in talks over a contract extension. It is a situation to keep a very close eye on.
