PSG have officially made initial contact with AS Monaco over a potential summer move for USMNT international Folarin Balogun.
I understand contact with the player’s camp had already taken place and, following positive discussions, talks have progressed well.

AS Monaco are determined to stand firm on their valuation of the 25-year-old and are seeking a fee of around €50m. The Parisians are yet to submit a formal offer to their Ligue 1 rivals.

PSG have been in the market for a new No. 9, and with the Eli Junior Kroupi deal off due to injury, while a move for Julián Álvarez looks increasingly unlikely, the French champions have narrowed their shortlist down to two main targets: Folarin Balogun and Atalanta’s Charles De Ketelaere.
Arsenal would be entitled to a share of any future transfer fee thanks to the 17.5% sell-on clause included in the deal that took Balogun to Monaco.
